Oh my Dear Ted, Anita and Jeff, we can only imagine the loss you feel since Phyllis' passing. We think of her and instead of sadness, she brings laughter into our hearts. We memory always will remember her for her hearty laughter. Many fond memories of her stories she would share with us whenever we met or visited with each other on Summer Street(her house or ours, didn't matter: it was always a fun time.)
Quick flash back-We dropped by to visit with your mom. And you, Anita at age 4 were banging(belting out a song) on the piano. Your hair was dripping in grease. Your poor mom was complaining that you had washed it with BUTTER to make it shine. It SHINED! Nothing she washed it with would take it out! This had already been a week later. She was such a bright and full of life woman.I also remember how she had explained to me about the historians and why and how the BC and AD were created and were just a simple way of keeping a time table. And of course, we always think of Phyllis, every time anybody in my family makes that delicious zucchini soup(a recipe that she had given us). So many fun visits...
Phyllis , we miss you but still remember you in laughter. Heaven is laughing a bit louder these days with your spirit. you are in our thoughts....Rita and Elaine

Aunt Phyllis, now you are free from illness and suffering and God is taking care of you so you can continue to care for Uncle Ted , Anita, and Jeff from above. Watch over them, guide them, love them and in many different ways let them know you are still there for them. And one day all of you will be once again reunited and it will be a grand reunion.
I finally discovered why this guestbook didn't have entries. The temporary Lawrence Eagle Tribune Guestbook is getting the entries, which I just saw. I had no idea my payment included such a guestbook. I'm copying/pasting the entries of family & friends here. THank you all so much for taking the time. xoxo . ~Anita

Theresa MacDonnell Mar 09, 2019 Anita, this loss is obviously felt by many. Your mom had a way of spreading love that makes me smile as I write this. Spunky and spirited! I had two friends while growing up that I called their moms “mom”. Your mom was “mom” to me also. This says so much about her. Love to you.

Tony Fiorino Mar 09, 2019 I'm so sorry for your loss. So glad I was able to grow up knowing Tita. The time she would spend with my grandmother Pepper at Saliabury beach was seeing the epitome of best friends. She was an incredible woman and will be sorely missed.

Phyllis (Terrazzano) Rosania Mar 09, 2019 Dear Ted, Anita, Jeffrey, and Alexander, "Cousin Phyllis" - that's what we called each other - we were namesakes. We lived together in the same household for a while. She related to me that she held me in her arms as a babe - and in her heart. I felt that for her lifetime and she was in my heart as well. I am thankful for the memories that we will not tire of repeating. Andréa and I join you in sorrow and send love and prayers to you. We're thankful to have enjoyed "Cousin Phyllis".

LauRha Frankfort Mar 09, 2019 Phyllis taught me to make the best damn spaghetti sauce I've ever tasted. It is simple and the perfect taste. I know you will continue to inspire others from Heaven Phyllis the love never stops you supplied so much warmth and light and inspiration for people thank you for helping me when I was younger. Rest assure that your children and Ted hold you close in their hearts and you will forever shine. Now you're free to be an angel

In today's era of social media and hundreds of stations on our televisions...we don't have the connections we had when we grew up. Growing up in our neighborhood...I never quite realized just how blessed we were to have such AMAZING families to grow up with! There were so many children around the same age and my childhood is FILLED with memories of neighborhood activities!! Thinking of these families puts a smile on my face! Growing up playing capture the flag or kick the can...anything we could think of to be outside in the fresh air ...Read more

Dean Chongris Mar 08, 2019 Anita, Jeff, and Mr. Brown—I’m so sorry for your loss and hope that with time the sorrow you are feeling now will lessen to happy and loving memories of your dear Mother, Wife, Friend. Growing up with you in Andover Anita, I remember your house on Gemini Circle always welcoming and a safe place for me on many levels. Phylis and Ted created an inviting atmosphere that I never forgot. She will be missed. Hugs and squeezes to all of you and know you are being thought of from Dallas and y’all remain in my heart ♥️.

Michael Steinman Mar 08, 2019 I regret that I never met Phyllis -- I came along too late in the Brown family saga -- but the people around her, Ted, Jeff, and Anita, are evidence of her glowing existence. I send sorrow and love to them all. And perhaps 128 bars of reverent silence over a nice 4/4.

Ray Marchica Mar 08, 2019 Hi Anita, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sending deepest condolences to you and your family. I could only imagine what a wonderful mom woman she was because she raised you. She’s watching down on you and very proud. Peace and love, Ray

Charles Jennison Mar 08, 2019 I only met your mom briefly, Anita, at one or two sessions with your dad, Tony Zano, and Whit Brown. Seems to me I remember having some delicious food she cooked, though. Turns out she was exactly 20 years to the day older than me (my birthday is Sept. 26!). I am very sorry for your loss.
I am thinking of Phyllis and all of the Brown family and sending you lots of love today and my deepest condolences. Knowing Phyllis and her down to earth intelligence and kindness was a wonderful experience and I have great respect for the whole family.
Thanks to those family and friends who signed this permanent guestbook for my mom. Her passing has moved her away from pain into Eternal Life, as per her devout Catholic beliefs. I do believe our energy does not simply cease to exist. It just doesn't make sense. So, she is in a better place now. I am grateful for the outpouring of love from so many on facebook. Unfortunately facebook posts fleeting so any post here is greatly appreciated. Anita, you & Jeff and your family were some of our favorites!! Being a little younger...I so looked up to you both! I have clear memories of your musical family and the love & acceptance I always felt from all of you! Anita, Auntie Bev had your artwork in her home for years when I was a child. Your amazing sweet Mommy, such a great woman. I believe Oprah always quotes Maya Angelo talking about "It takes the village" and OH did we have an AMAZING village!! We could name ALL the wonderful families we grew up with on all the circles of our neighborhood. I can't think of one neighborhood bully or mean girl! There was so much love and acceptance from the youngest to the oldest!! Anita, you were like a big sister! I have so many memories of looking up to you! I loved watching you and Dana and your bond! Walking Salisbury Beach and having the guys melt over you two bombshells! You always got the deepest darkest tropical tan and so did Jeff! Jeff...you always the handsome drummer! You both are your parents legacy and you both make them BOTH so proud! Now your Mom looking down from Heaven! You all will continue to be in my prayers! We don't see tons of marriages make it all through life and Mr. Brown...you and Mrs. Brown are such examples of TRUE LOVE!!! Please know we are thinking of you from afar! Love, Kari Clementi Reese <3
